A spectacular lightning storm - I stepped out from the barn where I was bundling garlic, to snap this shot.
Dropped in with some friends to a bar that was playing host to a party of science geeks celebrating the live news report of the successful landing of the Mars over.
I'm trying a faster harvesting method this year: Johann is driving over the garlic beds with an attachment that digs about 10" below the soil, lossening the garlic. It is faster, but more garlic is getting bruised than with the forking method.
